Joe - Kickboxer Joe was an undisputed Kickboxing American champion, until financial problems arose and violent outbursts occured, he became an outlaw fighter, and served in underground scenes. He enters Sagat's tournament in hopes of turning his life around again financially and in fame.

In the Street Fighter ++ meta, Joe's uses are vague or scarse. He doesn't exceed at anything truly remarkable. He's generally used against Lee, maybe Gen, and maybe Birdie, but isn't really great at them. Also suffers from multiple counter-picks such as Eagle, Mike, Adon, Sagat. Joe's moves seem weak on paper, but that's because they require synergy between them to create a continuous string of attacks. So make the most out of them.

Joe's stage is at the Sunnyside Yard, from Queens, New York.

Joe is inspired by the real American Kickboxer Benny "The Jet" Urquidez, who got some fame in 1970s Japan.

Joe was intended to be the protagonist for the "Next Street Fighter game", and evolved into Terry Bogard.

Joe may or may not be the character at the title screen, breaking the brick wall.

Despite Joe's lack of presence, he is a notable character in the 2026 Street Fighter movie.
